Dr Samara is an Aboriginal woman born on Yugambeh land, she has lived most of her life in Dharawal county, the home of her family for many generations. Samara is completing her Advanced Diploma in Obstetrics on track for a career in Rural and Remote Medicine. As Chair of Violence Prevention Australia (VPA) she has the opportunity to be a part of an impassioned organisation to make conversations about violence prevention easier by sharing effective primary prevention programs with everyone. Promoting its programmes, including The Period of PURPLE Crying, align with her career trajectory as a GP Obstetrician.
